Wanna run cron-jobs all the time? Sure! All the usual unix-tools are present and if you need more, just ask and we'll look into it. The difference between Skythost and the rest: The thing is, most webhosts who offer shared hosting, only offer hosting on servers shared between hundreds or sometimes even thousands of users, which is most likely going to cause long load times during peak hours, for even simple scripts. When it comes to bandwith, many offer unlimited bandwith or insanely high amounts, but if you actually utilize even just a few percentage of what you're promised, it's likely going to get you and your sites kicked from the host. What a nice way to treat succesfull sites, no? Many webhosts are also very paranoid and lazy, leading to very old and very locked down versions of the software running. It isn't uncommon to see webhosts upgrading from very outdated software to only slightly newer, but still very outdated software.
